Christmas and the Polar Express {Utah Artistic Photographer}

I had a fun project the past month shooting the cover for the Into the Woods magazine.  A publication for the neighborhoods in North Salt Lake Area, published and directed by Cindy Yates.  When I was asked to do the cover, visions of Christmas appeared in my head and I immediately thought of the Polar Express Train that runs the month of December up at the Historic Heber Creeper Railroad. We were given special permission to use the Railroad, which was so exciting!  I knew the trains ran most evenings, so in order to get my dark shots, we headed up at the crack of dawn.  My cute little models were troopers.  I even went to the extent of sewing the girls nightgowns because I couldn’t find what I was looking for in stores (story of my life).  These are the projects that light my creative fire; they are my passion.  I strive to have unique images in my portfolio.  Thanks for stopping by!  I truly love what I do, and all the people that I drag into my world to create these images…you are patient and I appreciate you trusting me :).

Graduating Senior Sessions {utah teen photographer}

Hmmmm, it appears that I have badly neglected this blog and it needs some TLC.  I guess that is what happens when life gets busy!

I love photographing teens.  Maybe it’s because they make me feel young when I am with them, or their zest for life is contagious :).  Teen sessions usually run 2-3 hours and include 2-3 outfit and sometimes location changes.  Please contact me if you are interested in booking a session Spring of 2016.  Here are some samples of Senior Sessions I have done in the past.

1950’s Vintage {Artistic Impressions}

It’s no secret I love a good vintage styled session, my favorite thing to do.  My daughter wanted to do a 1950’s themed session for her 16th birthday.  It sounded too good to be true.  We watched tutorials on hair and make-up from that era.  I’ve decided the vintage waves are harder than they look.  We did our best from a hotel room, but I’d like to try it again with a tighter curling iron.  I’m finally able to post these images from that session.  Here are a few of my favorites :).
